Founder's Message
I have watched small businesses bleed money paying three different freelancers who never talk to each other, or hand over everything to a local agency that charges premium prices for a generic template that does nothing for their growth.
The frustration is real. A business owner thinks a website is an expense — something they have to have. But it should be the opposite. A properly built website, connected to the right systems, should be one of the best investments a business makes.
I built Vortana Tech in 2024 after five years of freelancing across social media, design, illustration, and web development. I had seen enough on both sides — what clients were paying and what they were actually getting — to know there was a better way to do this.

Too many freelancers, zero coordination
A designer, a developer, an SEO person, a social media manager — all billing separately, none of them talking to each other. The business owner ends up doing the project management themselves while paying for four people. We replace all of that with one team.
High agency fees, generic results
Local agencies in Cyprus and Europe charge premium prices — but small businesses often get a templated website that looks like fifty others and brings in no new customers. The website becomes a business expense, not a business asset.
Freelancing platforms eat the budget
Clients pay platform fees on top of freelancer rates. Freelancers earn less than they should. Everyone loses except the platform. Working directly with Vortana Tech means better results at better rates — for everyone.
The Journey
5+ years building before Vortana Tech
Started as a freelancer
Began career managing social media accounts and creating graphic design content for clients — learning the fundamentals of what makes digital content actually work for businesses.
Children's book illustration
Moved into illustration, specialising in children's book artwork and KDP coloring books. Built enough of a reputation to reach Level 2 Seller status on Fiverr — one of the platform's recognised achievement tiers.
Moved into web design
Passion to learn new things pushed the move into WordPress web design. Started building websites for clients, then expanded into WooCommerce, Shopify, and Wix to serve a wider range of business needs.
Expanded technology stack
Continued learning and building — adding PHP, JavaScript, Elementor, and video editing to the skillset. Started developing SaaS product concepts, building subscription-based app prototypes that were never launched due to payment infrastructure limitations at the time.
Certifications & Vortana Tech
Completed Digiskills and Cisco certifications as a programmer. With 5+ years of cross-discipline experience, founded Vortana Tech — a digital agency built around a single frustration: small businesses deserve better than expensive agencies and unreliable freelancers.
American University of Cyprus
Beginning BSCS studies at the American University of Cyprus in Larnaca — combining formal computer science education with years of real-world experience to build an even stronger technical foundation for Vortana Tech.
